Thrash metal band, Slayer, formed in 1981 in Huntington Beach, CA. They've released twelve studio albums with four of them receiving gold certification in the U.S.
They went on to receive two Grammy awards, one in 2007 for the song "Eyes of the Insane" and one in 2008 for the song "Final Six." The band retired in 2019 following their farewell tour.
